•Sign in with Google, Apple, Kakao, LINE, or Facebook. Which providers are offered varies by country and may change over time.
•One account, one sign-in method. The provider you sign up with is the one you sign in with; linking additional providers to an existing account is not offered. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in method secure — you are responsible for what happens on your account.
•You choose your country at signup. A 90-day cooldown applies to changing it (see the Payment & Refund Policy for how a country change interacts with a subscription). Changing your nickname or date of birth is also rate-limited.
•Korea — 14. This reflects the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Art. 22-2, under which collecting the personal data of a child under 14 requires verifiable consent from a legal guardian. Orbnit does not process children under 14 in Korea, so no guardian-consent flow is offered there.
•Japan — 16. Japanese law sets no single statutory minimum age for an online service, so Orbnit sets its own minimum at 16 and does not offer a guardian-consent flow for younger users.
•Other countries. Orbnit accepts signups only from its launch markets. If Orbnit opens a new market, that market's statutory minimum age (or guardian-consent threshold, such as GDPR Art. 8) will apply and this list will be updated before launch; the default minimum for any market without a specific rule would be 13.
•Orbnit Plus (optional subscription): a monthly subscription. It currently unlocks nothing — media limits are identical for every account whether or not you subscribe, and automatic and manual translation are free for everyone. If we add a benefit, we will say so in the Payment & Refund Policy first.
•Prices: ₩4,900/month in Korea and ¥650/month in Japan (tax included in both). There is one monthly plan, and it renews automatically every month until you cancel. Prices are shown before you pay.
•Who you pay: Paddle, the seller (Merchant of Record), for web subscriptions in both Korea and Japan. Subscriptions cannot currently be started inside the mobile app; we will tell you in advance if in-app purchases become available.
•Cancel, undo, and refunds: you can cancel at any time and keep your benefits until the end of the period you already paid for, and you can withdraw the cancellation before the period ends. You can request a refund in the app within 30 days of your last payment. Full rules and your statutory rights are in the Payment & Refund Policy.
•If a renewal charge fails: the seller retries the charge, and your subscription stays active for up to 35 days after the missed payment. If no retry succeeds in that window, the subscription ends — your account, your diaries, and every free feature stay exactly as they are, and you can resubscribe at any time.
•If sales are paused: subscription sales may be temporarily disabled; payments are not possible during that time, and we will tell you in advance when sales start.
•Harm people: harass, threaten, dox, or target anyone.
•Post illegal content: child sexual abuse material is never tolerated; it is removed and reported to the competent authorities where the law requires it.
•Break the service: scrape data, reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows, submit malware, or bypass our security and rate limits.
•Impersonate another person or organization.
•Spam: bulk-posting, fake engagement, or scams.
•What gets reviewed: text, images, and video in public and friends-only posts, plus profile images and book covers. Private diaries and direct messages are not auto-moderated.
•What can be blocked: 17 categories of content, listed in the Community Guidelines.
•You can ask for human review: every moderation block states the reason and carries an in-app "ask a person to review" action (child-safety escalations follow a separate legal process instead). EU users receive a statement of reasons under the Digital Services Act, Art. 17.
•If the review system fails (for example, a provider outage), your post is held unpublished — visible only to you, with a retry option — rather than published unchecked. If we ever deliberately switch automatic review off for operational reasons, new posts may appear before a check and are reviewed after the fact.
•Orbnit is offered as is, without any express warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law requires otherwise. We are not responsible for content other users post.
•Our maximum responsibility to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Orbnit's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Orbnit in the last 12 months.
•This limit does not apply where the law — such as Korean or Japanese consumer-protection law — gives you stronger rights. In those cases, those rights prevail.
•Where to start: email cto@orbnit.com. Orbnit will attempt to resolve the matter directly before any formal proceeding.
•Korean courts have jurisdiction for general disputes.
•If you live in Japan, you may also use your local consumer dispute-resolution channels, such as the Consumer Hotline (188) and the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan. Orbnit does not limit those rights.
•If you live in the EU, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply under Rome I, Art. 6.
•Material changes (new ways we use your data, new fees, new restrictions): you'll see a re-consent screen on your next sign-in.
•Minor changes (clarifications, typos, translation updates): applied with an in-app notice only.
•The current version and date of every policy are shown in the app's legal pages.
